Five years for an A!

The result of the five-year activity of VyatSU after the merger of two large universities of the Kirov region was its entry into the top 5 universities of the Volga Federal District

On December 16, 2021, the Association of Rating Compilers and the RAEX Rating Agency, with the support of the Russian Union of Rectors and the information assistance of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, published for the first time a pilot version of local ratings of Russian universities. The study carried out an independent assessment of the educational and scientific potential of universities, their impact on the social environment.

Vyatka State University has become one of the 5 best universities in the Volga Federal District*.

This result was achieved by the effective work of a large team of VyatSU under the leadership of Rector Valentin Pugach, which was formed more than 5 years ago by merging two large universities in the region.

We emphasize that over the past five years VyatSU has strengthened its position in the educational space of the country and the world: entered the ranking of universities QS: Developing Europe and Central Asia 2021/22; ranked 44th among the strongest Russian universities in the CSImago Institutions Ranking 2021; ranked 39th among Russian universities in the "Education" parameter, 46th in the "Socialization" parameter, 62-63rd in the "Innovation" direction of the National University Ranking (Interfax); settled in the top 100 according to the rating "National Recognition": the best universities in 2021 ("Univer.Expert").

In 2021, Vyatka State University conquered a new peak by joining the Priority 2030 academic leadership program, which for 10 years identified the country's 100 leading universities, whose strategic development programs were recognized as the best.

In its development program, VyatSU staked on the strategic projects "Habitat", "Health Technologies", the creation of "Rodopolis" as an optimal model for the development of the region, an ideal place for self-realization of a harmonious personality that transforms the world.

There is a lot of interesting work ahead to achieve new goals and results. It is important to emphasize that any graduate of a school or college can become a part of the team of changes in the university, region, country, world and oneself by entering VyatSU, the largest university in the Kirov region.
