"Let's just lift into the air for a little bit!" Vyatka State University celebrated World Poetry Day

On March 21, the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications of Vyatka State University celebrated World Poetry Day.

Poetry contributes to the education of aesthetic taste and morality. Sometimes poetry is the real salvation. The energy of a verse, the energy of a reading person not only elevates, but also heals. Let's read the verses and just soar for a little bit! -

For more than an hour, students and teachers of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences performed poetic lines by Boris Pasternak and Rasul Gamzatov, Taras Shevchenko and John Donne, Marianna Moore and Vladimir Neklyaev, Hovhannes Tumanyan and Nikolai Rubtsov, Igor Severyanin and Rimma Kazakova, Anna Akhmatova and Yunna Moritz .

A storm of emotions and a flurry of applause was caused by the speech of the Associate Professor of the Department of History and Political Sciences Mikhail Litsarev. A passionate lover of poetry, an active participant in city cultural events, an excellent reader and orator, he performed poems by Vladimir Mayakovsky, Sasha Cherny and even his own - it was impressive!

 

At a meeting of like-minded people, some pages of the history of the philological faculty were flipped through. The participants recalled how the poetic holiday was celebrated in different years, paid tribute to the memory of the legendary Zinaida Feodorovna Petrus, who laid the foundation for the tradition of literary evenings.

The current day of the faculty is reflected in the media projects presented by the students. The audience saw a kind of mini-films, not only depicting the performance of poetic works, but also marked by director's and cameraman's finds. It is noteworthy that many of the works reflected the theme of the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.

The holiday ended with the life-affirming lines of Yuri Levitansky:

Whatever happened to us, but again and again
it smells like bird cherry - and there's nothing to be done!
