Learning post-dramatic theater in "Lectures at the Polytechnic" on December 8, 2017

Pavel Rudnev (Moscow), theater critic, candidate of art criticism, associate professor of GITIS, assistant artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov and Rector on special projects of the Moscow Art Theater School, and theater manager will speak in the project "Lectures at the Polytechnic" on December 8.The topic of the meeting with one of the most well-known critics in the theatrical world is "Art in the era of creativity: what is a post-dramatic theater?"

Rudnev’s lecture is included in the program of the student festival "Vyatka-creative-2017" and is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of post-dramatic theater.

The term "post-dramatic theater" is often used in the age of postmodernist aesthetics and digital communications.The lecture will focus on etymology of this term, created by Hans-Tis Leman. Why is it needed? What phenomena does it describe? How is it related to trends in contemporary art? All these and some other questions are in the focus of the critic's lecture.

The lecture begins on December 8 at 17.00 at Moskovskaya St, 36, VyatSU main building. Free admission.
