Vyatka State University doing research work on adaptive physical education for people with disabilities

On March 20 VyatSU acting Rector Valentin Pugach and Denis Titkov, director of Kirov Center for Prosthetics and Orthopedics, signed a Contract for scientific research.

This Contract will be fulfilled by the Faculty of Physical Culture, the Department of Adaptive Physical Education and Teaching Methods.

The scientific research theme is "Research and development of scientific methods for the program of adaptive physical recreation and rehabilitation of people with musculoskeletal disorders (amputation)".

Within the Contract it is planned:

- to develop a program of adaptive physical rehabilitation and recreation for people with amputations;

- to organize some practical classes for them, somehow in the form of swimming lessons (both swimming trainings and hydro-rehabilitation), gym classes, and volleyball sitting classes;

- to print out the developed program as well as methodological recommendations to it;

- to hold a scientific conference for discussing the research results and putting  them into practice.

All the classes for people with disabilities will be conducted by students and teachers of Vyatka State University at VyatSU sports complex.
