Vyatka State University is the winner of the "Internationalization of Higher Education" award

VyatSU became a laureate of the VI annual award "Internationalization of Higher Education 2022" (EEUA) in the nomination "International reputation of universities"

The Internationalization of Higher Education Award was established by the Association of Eastern European Universities in 2017. It is awarded to universities for achievements in the field of internationalization of higher education and active promotion of Russia and the CIS in the world space.


Sergey Fomin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Vyatka State University: "This award speaks of an increase in the status of our university abroad, the international recognition of Vyatka State University is growing, and quite intensively. I hope that partner universities will be willing to cooperate with us, and we will be more visible in the eyes of our potential applicants."

For Vyatka State University, this is the first victory in the award! According to Sergey Fomin, efforts to improve the international reputation of Vyatka State University are focused on three areas. These are measures to increase the number of foreign students, expand the representation of Vyatka State University on the Internet and increase the network of partnerships with foreign organizations.

Over the past 5 years, the university has improved its position in the National University Ranking (Interfax) in the "Cooperation" parameter. Out of 358, the University of Vyatka State University occupies 63-64 lines, in 2017 it was in 153 positions. In 2021 alone, the university signed 18 agreements at the international level, this year - 7.

Sergei Fomin: "In the long-term strategy of the university, we pay attention to other indicators. The plans include the creation and launch of educational programs in foreign languages, programs of "double diplomas", which, of course, will require the involvement of international teachers. We are confident that Vyatka State University has the potential to improve its reputation at the international level."
