VyatSU at the All-Russian Festival of Adaptive Physical Culture

The All-Russian Festival of Adaptive Physical Culture "Start with Yourself" has ended in Ufa, at which Vyatka State University was presented by a team of students and teachers of the Department of Sports Disciplines and Adaptive Physical Culture

The VyatSU team included the head of the department SDiAFC Oleg Yuryevich Bespyatykh, senior professor  of the SDiFAK department Inna Sergeevna Bagina; 1st, 3rd and 4th year students Busorgin Grigory, Varslavan Ilya, Vatutin Andrey, Votintseva Anna, Kazakova Ekaterina, Postnikov Nikolay, Skolova Yana, Sofronova Nina.

The Festival was attended by 15 teams from different universities in our country, in which training of bachelors and masters in adaptive physical culture is carried out. The geography of the participants was vast: Tchaikovsky (Perm Territory), Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Voronezh, Kazan, Krasnodar, Ulyanovsk, Omsk, Chita, Sterlitamak.

On March 4, competitions in adaptive sports were held: sitting volleyball, boccia and wheelchair darts. The VyatSU team successfully performed in all types of competitions. In sitting volleyball, the guys took 4th place, losing in a stubborn struggle to the hosts of the Festival. In the Paralympic sport of boccia, our students, in a tough struggle, snatched a bronze medal from their rivals from Chita. In wheelchair darts, the team took 5th place.

The next day, the students continued their successful performance. In the erudition competition, the team showed excellent knowledge and won the 3rd place. In the massage competition in the "Classic Massage" nomination, the students won a victory over their rivals.

Successful performances in certain types of adaptive sports allowed the VyatSU team to take 2nd place, ahead of the hosts of the event.
