The Head of the region Igor Vasilyev and the chief Federal Inspector for the Kirov region Vladimir Klimov congratulated Eugenia Tovstik and Valery Avdonin

Recall that at the end of last year, the results of the MK-2018 competition for the right to receive grants of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young Russian scientists were summed up. Eugenia Tovstik and Valery Avdonin, associate professors of VyatSU were among the winners.

Research activities of the Candidate of biological Science, Associate Professor of the Department of Fundamental Chemistry and Methods of Teaching Chemistry at VyatSU Evgenia Tovstik belongs to the field of science ”Earth Sciences, Ecology and Environmental Management.” The young scientist conducts an ecological-biological study of the soil condition infected by Sosnovsky hogweed using remote sensing data from the Earth.

Among the scientific objectives are the identification of the long-term dynamics and localization of the distribution areas of the Sosnovsky hogweed in the territory of the Kirov region according to remote sensing data; study of the chemical and microbiological composition of soils susceptible to short-term and long-term invasion of the hogweed in local areas, as well as free from the hogweed soils; isolation of hogweed from soils and rhizosphere to the pure culture of aboriginal species of microorganisms in order to assess their inactivating and herbicidal ability in relation to the hogweed.

Valery Avdonin, the associate professor of the Department of building structures and machines at VyatSU, presented his research “Development and production of effective vibration-absorbing materials based on vinyl acetate, reducing the acoustic impact of vehicles on the environment and humans” and became the owner of the grant in the field “Technical and engineering sciences”.

The work on the topic of the study will provide a new vibration-absorbing material with effective properties for damping vibration and noise in the temperature range from-60 °C to +80 °C, which will contribute to the development of scientific research in the field of vibration control. The main purpose of the developed material-noise control in cars. Equally, effective material can be used in other vehicles such as airplanes, ships, and wagons.

Yesterday Eugenia Tovstik and Valery Avdonin, at the meeting of the VyatSU Scientific Council, were presented with certificates of winners of the competition for the right to receive grants of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young scientists.

The Head of the region Igor Vasilyev and the chief Federal Inspector for the Kirov region Vladimir Klimov congratulated the talented researchers.
