On November 19-25, the All-Russian Final of the Student Volleyball Association Cup was held in Moscow. After a series of qualifying rounds in the federal districts, the finalists were determined. It were 12 men's and 12 women's teams of Russian universities. They got the right to represent their regions in the All-Russian volleyball battles. In the Volga Federal District in the women's tournament, two teams received this right: PNRPU (Perm) and VyatSU (Kirov)! Students from Moscow, Orel, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Penza, Vologda, Cherepovets, Yekaterinburg, Belgorod, Barnaul, Ivanovo, Perm, Vladivostok also fought for prizes in the final of SVA Cup. None of the teams made it to the finals "by chance", but made a long way for this. Therefore, from the very first match, stubborn and intense battles began. It was a struggle for every precious point in the games in the subgroups. According to the results of the draw, the VyatSU women's team was in-group “A” together with the teams of the AltSU (Barnaul), Leningrad State University named after A.S. Pushkin (Leningrad region) and the RTU MIREA (Moscow).

After the group stage, the strongest eight teams reached the playoffs. And our girls coped with this task successfully! In the fight for medals, the VyatSU team won one victory and suffered two annoying defeats, losing the minimal advantage to two points in the endings of the games ... The final result is 7th place. Recall that last year our athletes were 9th - today they are among the eight strongest teams of universities in Russia!

Congratulations to the VyatSU national team, coaches Evgenia Chashchina and Pavel Gyrdymov with a high result and we wish  them new achievements!
