This year, Vyatka State University was one of the co-organizers of the Central Russia Regional ContestQualifier and attracted 15 teams to its venue. Many of them decided to try their hand at programming Olympiads for the first time, while showing respectable results.

In the overall standings among 157 teams from 16 venues (Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Vologda, Ivanovo, Kirov, Kovrov, Kostroma, Obninsk, Oryol, Rybinsk, Tver, Tula, Cherepovets, Yaroslavl) the absolute first place was taken by the VyatkаSU 1 team consisting of Kirill Dekhterev (Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering, group IVTm-1301-01-00), Anna Prozorova (Faculty of Computer and Physical and Mathematical Sciences, group PMIm-1301-02-00) and Denis Smirnov (Faculty of Computer and Physical and Mathematical Sciences, group PMIb-4301-02-00).
