In August, the #To be project, supported by the Presidential Grants Fund, will start in the Kirov region. Aleksandr Vlasov, a master student of the VyatSU educational program “Project and Program Management in Education”, initiated the project.

Alexander has successfully completed magistracy and will continue to implement his research. The project is aimed at preventing suicidal behavior among teenagers. The participants of the project will be students of schools and institutions of secondary vocational education of the Kirov region at the age of 12-17 years.

To develop the technology of psychological and pedagogical prevention of suicidal behavior in adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, teachers and students of the Department of Psychology will take part in the project. This technology will be a key step in their research activities.

The project specialists will study at the Institute of Practical Psychology “Imaton” special technologies of consulting work, will work with licensed software equipment, and will also conduct a large-scale study of the features of suicidal behavior of modern adolescents, develop a system of psychological and pedagogical prevention of suicidal behavior in cooperation with educational institutions of the region.

This autumn psychologists and teachers of regional educational organizations will be trained in the basics of diagnosis and prevention of suicidal behavior in adolescents. After completing the training, they will be able to implement the prevention system in their educational organizations with the support of the authors and organizers of the project.
