Vyatka State University participates in a methodological conference with international participation "Designing Inclusion in the Future - the Future of Inclusion"

From September 29 to October 1, a scientific and methodological conference with international participation "Designing Inclusion in the Future - the Future of Inclusion" is being held at the site of the Southern Federal University. At it, the RMC HE network actively discusses the issues of education and socialization of people with disabilities.

The first day of the conference was held within the framework of three panel discussions, which were attended by leading Russian specialists in the field of inclusion. Thus, at the discussion “Society of the Future - Society of Inclusive Culture”, the participants discussed modern ideas about inclusion and its development, educational technologies for the disabled, and prospects for interaction between inclusive and special defectology education. An equally important topic that experts paid attention to was the conditions for training teachers to work with people with disabilities.

Experts from Vyatka State University are actively working at the forum sites. Bazhin Konstantin Sergeyevich, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Project Activities of Vyatka State University, became the moderator of the interactive platform “All Inclusive – The Future of Inclusive Education”. The participants discussed the issues of inclusion in the life of a student, the features of tutor support for students with disabilities in the vocational education system, as well as the conditions for assisting graduates with disabilities for their further employment. The experts presented the tutor model, which can be used to form a set of competencies in inclusive education, and discussed strategies for the development of an inclusive society. Supervises the work of the All-Russian platform Simonova Galina Ivanovna - Director of the Pedagogical Institute of Vyatka State University.

Of particular interest to the participants was the panel discussion “Digital Accessibility in Inclusive Education”, which discussed not only the regulatory framework for making higher education accessible in the digital environment, but also finished university products for working with people with disabilities.

As part of this discussion, Svetlana Borisovna Bashmakova, Acting Head of the Department of Defectology, Head of the VyatSU RMC, spoke about the prospects for using VR / AR technologies in inclusive higher education, presented the technical and methodological developments of Vyatka State University in the field of adaptation simulators for obtaining engineering specialties by people with severe musculoskeletal disorders device. The specialist revealed the rehabilitation mechanisms for the use of virtual and augmented reality technologies, which allow students with disabilities to develop the skills of detailed visualization and design of engineering objects.

On September 30, colleagues will discuss the issues of training teachers for designing an inclusive society of the future: development trends and new solutions.

The conference was organized as part of the IV All-Russian Scientific and Educational Forum with international participation "The Mission of University Pedagogical Education in the 21st Century" with the support of the Council of Rectors of Universities of the South of Russia and partner universities of the RMC network.
