On October 5, 2012, a public lecture by Yan Levchenko "The End of the Hollywood Era" was held at Vyatka State University. This event opened the project "Lectures at the Polytechnic", which involves monthly public lectures by famous scientists every first Friday of the month.

Yan Levchenko's lecture was attended by students, teachers, there were several well-known businessmen, several artists of the Theater on Spasskaya, students from Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow came. The lecture was specially prepared for our project.

The organizers of the project are sure that our city really lacks such public popular science lectures. Thanks to the Progress Gallery, Daria Tkacheva and Boris Pavlovich, many interesting events in the field of modern culture began to take place in the city: a cinema club on Mondays, exhibitions of contemporary art and alternative music concerts, and performances by Pavlovich's laboratory.

Now there is a project that invites thinking people to spend their leisure time attending a lecture by an invited intellectual, scientist, public figure. The kind of leisure that makes us smarter and more erudite.
