The grant for organizing and holding events to popularize the Russian language and traditional values in other countries was won by Vyatka State University (VyatSU). The competition was held within the framework of the state program "Development of Education" of the Ministry of Education of Russia. This was reported by Newsler on June 27.
VyatSU will receive 7 million rubles. for a series of events of an educational and educational nature for teachers who teach in Russian. In total, 53 applications were submitted for the grant, 12 applications were approved and will receive funding.
According to Elena Shcherbinina, Acting Head of the Department of the Russian Language at the Institute of Humanitarian and Social Sciences of the Vyatka State University, face-to-face events will be held in China, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Participants from Tajikistan, Iran, India, Egypt, Bangladesh will connect to them online. Refresher courses and other projects are planned for autumn 2023.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Education of Russia plans to open almost 30 centers in African countries where Russian will be taught. Residents of African states also want to be involved in competitions in Russian.
